Requesting Medication

How do I request my medication?

To request your medication, select the menu icon from the top left of the homepage and click ‘Medication Requests’. The screen you are taken to shows your pending and past requests, as well as any prescriptions that have been generated. To make a new request, select the ‘New Request’ button in the bottom right of your screen. You will then see a list of medication that can be requested and medication that cannot be requested. If you have some medication that can be requested, tick the boxes next to the items you want and then press the next button in the bottom right hand corner. You can add any additional notes with the request and these will be sent along with the medication request. Press the Complete button to confirm your request.

What is the difference between an existing and custom medication request?

An existing medication request is a request for medication that you have been prescribed previously. A custom request is a request for medication that you have not previously been prescribed.

How do I request an existing medication?

To request an existing medication, use the menu icon from the top left of the homepage and select ‘Medication Requests’. Click on the ‘New Request’ button in the bottom right of your screen. If required, select the organisation that you are requesting from. If you have any medication available to request you will see it listed. If you have medication on your record that you cannot currently request, you will see it in the Cannot Be Requested section. Choose the medications you want to request and select ‘Next’ in the bottom right of the screen. You can now add notes to what your request, and to complete your request, select ‘Complete’.

How do I request a custom medication?

To request custom medication, use the menu icon from the top left of the homepage and select ‘Medication Requests’. Click on the ‘New Request’ button in the bottom right of your screen, then if you are presented with a list of medication, do not tick any of the items and instead press the Next button. In the medication request notes section add the details of the medication that you wish to request. To send the request, select ‘Complete’. You can now see your request on the Medication Requests screen.

How do I change my nominated pharmacy?

To change your nominated pharmacy, use the menu icon from the top left of the homepage and select ‘Medication Requests’. Select the ‘Pharmacy Details’ button and tap ‘Change Pharmacy’.

How do I track the status of my medication requests?

To change your nominated pharmacy, use the menu icon from the top left of the homepage and select ‘Medication Requests’. Tap on the request you wish to track. From here you can see whether the request has been approved and – if it is an electronic prescription – whether it has been signed and is ready for collection at your pharmacy.
