Booking Appointments

How do I book an appointment?
  • To book an appointment, select the top left icon on the homepage and click ‘Appointments’. Here, you can view your future appointments and book new appointments.
  • Select the ‘Book Appointment’ button to begin booking a new appointment, and then select the organisation you want to book with.
  • Airmid will now show the available appointments at your chosen organisation. Days with available appointments will display a green bar underneath them, and those with no available appointments will display a grey bar.
  • Select the required appointment and check the details, before confirming the appointment by selecting ‘Book appointment’.
  • You can also select the ‘Remind me’ option, which will save the appointment in your phone’s calendar. Your booked appointment will now show on the ‘Appointments’ page.

How do I cancel an appointment?

To cancel an appointment, select the top left icon on the homepage and click ‘Appointments’. Here, you can select the appointment you want to cancel, and then cancel the appointment by selecting ‘Cancel appointment’. You will then be asked to confirm you wish to cancel the appointment, and you can do this by selecting ‘Yes’.

How can I book a video consultation?
  • To book a video consultation, select the top left icon on the homepage and click ‘Appointments’. Here, you can view your future appointments and book new appointments.
  • Select the ‘+’ icon to begin booking a new video consultation, and then select the organisation you want to book with. Airmid will now show the available appointments at your chosen organisation, and you can identify a video consultation slot by checking the ‘Slot type’.
  • If an available appointment is listed as a video consultation, you can select this appointment and check the details, before confirming the appointment by selecting ‘Book appointment’.
Why can’t I book a video consultation?

Sometimes, video consultations will not be available. Your organisation may not yet have chosen to activate video consultations, or there may be no available slots at your chosen clinic.

How do I find nearby clinics?

To view nearby clinics, select the top left icon from the home page. Select ‘Clinic Locator’. You can filter your search by ‘Type’ (e.g. hospital, pharmacy, clinic) or ‘Speciality’ (e.g. ENT, dermatology), or custom search. Relevant clinics near you will be shown on your chosen navigation app (e.g. Google Maps or Apple Maps).

Why are there no appointments?

If you are trying to book an appointment but you cannot see any availability, it’s usually because there are no available appointment slots to book into. This is becuase all the appointments have already been taken or the service are not currently offering online appointments. You will need to speak to your healthcare service if you cannot find any appointments.

Why can’t I use appointment booking?

If you are trying to book an appointment but you are seeing the message ‘None of your registered organisations have enabled appointment booking’ then there are a couple of things to check. Open the menu and click on ‘Organisations’, then click on the organisation where you want to book an appointment and scroll down to ‘Online Service Access’. If the organisation is not offering appointment booking then it will say ‘Disabled by organisation’. If the organisation offers appointment booking but you do not have access to use it, then you can press the ‘Request Access’ button which will generate a message to the organisation to make the configuration change.
